why mason jars?

Historically, a mason jar, though fragile, was intended to preserve the talents and creations of women for the survival of others. In its selfless function, lies its beauty. I view the mason jar as a fitting metaphor for the feminine soul - for my soul. And, as my soul is so full, millions of mason jars are required to preserve its creative contents.
